Adobe Spark is a digital tool that allows your students to create visual stories. This tool is free to use and our school division has premium accounts for all of our students, which gives them access to all of the amazing features that Adobe Spark has to offer. Adobe Spark gives users the ability to make graphics, web pages, and video stories. While this tool is very user friendly for all students in grade 6-8, students under the age of 13 require parent consent to use this tool. The graphic function is essentially a digital poster making tool. Students will have the ability to add images and text features to create a poster to demonstrate their learning. When creating a graphic in Adobe Spark, users can create the graphic completely from scratch or use one of the amazing templates that already exist. Students have full control over the design and layout of their poster. In addition, students can choose their own colours or use a pre-existing colour palette. When students are creating their graphic, they have the option to change the size based on a variety of commonly communication tools. Students can size their graphic like an Instagram post, Facebook banner, or Snapchat story. They also have the ability to size their image like a common letter, larger poster, or simple a square. Overall, the graphic feature of Adobe Spark is very user friendly and a great way to introduce digital poster making to your students.
